The views were amazing. For runners, cyclists or those with prams very flat. The walk from Sandgate to Folkestone along the sea took us about 40 mins, ok on way there but v v v blustery on way back. …Full review by Foodyfromlondon

A lot of Sandgate is permit controlled but you can park in these areas for 2 hours but cannot return for at least 2 hours. There is Free car Parking available along Sandgate Esplanade There is also Free Parking for up to 24 hours in the Wilberforce Road Car Park (Wilberforce Road, Sandgate CT20 3DD) and Gough Road parking bays. There is a paying car park in Castle Road, Sandgate, with parking costing £1 for up to 2 hours, £3 for up to 4 hours, and £5 to park all day. Castle Road car park is free outside the charging hours of 8am-6pm.
