Callum Parslow attacked Nahom Hagos, who is from Eritrea, while he was eating at the Pear Tree Inn in April last year. The 32-year-old has Hitler's signature tattooed on his arm and tried to post a "terrorist manifesto" on X.

Callum Ulysses Parslow, 32, must serve a minimum of 22 years and eight months for stabbing Nahom Hagos in what he claimed was a "protest" against small boat crossings.

Nahom Hagos, the asylum seeker who was attacked, is an Eritrean national who had been granted leave to remain in the UK until November 2028. He had previously lived in the hotel and, on the day of the stabbing, had been back to visit a friend.
