As the first major winter storm of the season threatens to hit the Hoosier State, Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett joined leaders from the National Weather Service, Department of Public Works and other agencies to detail how the city is preparing for the impending weather.

Roads south of Bloomington are beginning to be covered in snow, as seen on Indiana Department of Transportation snow plow cameras. Just after 9 a.m., a photograph from a snow plow on I-69 near Washington, Indiana, showed snow accumulating on the interstate. Another plow on I-69 near Crane showed snow is just beginning to accumulate.
