Authorities in Japan say one person is dead and two others are injured after a knife attack Wednesday night outside a train station in Nagano.

One person was killed and two hurt in a stabbing attack Wednesday at Japan's JR Nagano train station. One woman and two men were waiting for a bus on the station's north side when they were attacked.

Police are searching for a suspect who fled after a stabbing at JR Nagano Station on Wednesday night that left one person dead and two others injured. The attack happened at around 8 p.m. outside the station, where a man armed with what appeared to be a knife targeted three people, according to NHK.
