IRS stimulus check eligibility: What it is and who qualifies
The IRS said most taxpayers eligible for the federal stimulus payments, formally known as Economic Impact Payments, have already received them, but that approximately 1 million taxpayers did not claim the credit.

The agency said they sent the payments automatically in December 2024 and it's expected to arrive by the end of January. According to the IRS, the payment amounts are dependent upon “several factors” but the maximum payment one person can receive is $1,400.
