King Charles championed the royal family’s dedication to Commonwealth Day, calling for unity alongside Queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey after he and Kate missed last year’s service due to their cancer treatments.

Multiple members of the Royal Family have gathered at Westminster Abbey for the annual Commonwealth Day Service. The subject of this year's Commonwealth Day theme, Together We Thrive, honours the “enduring spirit of the Commonwealth family”.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Anne, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester at Westminster Abbey.

Last year, both the 76-year-old king and his daughter-in-law Kate, the Princess of Wales, missed the Commonwealth Day service as they underwent treatment for cancer but both were present for Monday's occasion, one of the major royal events of the year.

The Princess of Wales rewore a favorite dress of hers for the occasion, a stunning candy apple-red coatdress by Catherine Walker with a big, pretty bow adorning the collar and large buttons running down the front. It was the same piece that she wore to the carol service at Westminster Abbey in December of 2021.
