A new wildfire was reported today at 11:19 p.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. At this time, the containment status is unknown and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.

Since multiple fires ignited across various communities in Los Angeles County last week, tens of thousands were forced to evacuate, more than 12,000 homes were destroyed or damaged and at least 24 people have been killed.

The death toll from the recent California wildfires went up by one from over the weekend – marking a new total of 25.
