Woodbridge police say an owl likely injured in a crash was rescued in a roadway. According to police, a sergeant responded on Tuesday to assist with an owl who was found. A couple of motorists remained at the scene until officers arrived.

Woodbridge police thanked a couple of good Samaritans who stopped during their travels to help an injured owl Tuesday night.

Police said the animal was turned over to animal control who made arrangements to get it into a wildlife rescue center.
