Cumberland County deputies found skeletal remains near Westel Road; investigation ongoing by local sheriff's office and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

An investigation is underway after skeletal remains were found over the weekend near a wildlife management area in Middle Tennessee.

ROCKWOOD, Tenn. (WSMV) - Skeletal remains were discovered near the Mount Roosevelt Wildlife area, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are investigating skeletal remains found in the vicinity of Westel Road and the entrance of the Mount Roosevelt Wildlife Management Area.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and the TBI is investigating skeletal remains found in Crossville over the weekend.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after finding skeletal remains, a representative with the office said on Tuesday.
