DeVonta Smith grew up in Amite City, which is about 73 miles from New Orleans, where the Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

Although fellow former Alabama star Jalen Hurts won the Super Bowl MVP after completing 17-of-22 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns, former Crimson Tide receiver DeVonta Smith also had himself a great game. He hauled in four catches for a team-high 69 yards, and also notched a 46-yard touchdown catch.

Amite also is the hometown of Philadelphia wide receiver DeVonta Smith, who’ll be on the field when the Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL championship game at 5:30 p.m. CST Sunday at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
