The first goal scored at Everton's new stadium was meant to be a memorable occasion. But Wigan Athletic star Harrison Rimmer managed to spoil the party after celebrating with a cheeky Liverpool gesture.

Wigan Under-18s' Harrison Rimmer made himself a pub quiz answer for years to come by scoring the first goal - and he made the most of the feat by holding up six fingers, referring to the Reds' six European Cup/Champions League titles.

Hilariously though, the first ever goal at the new ground came from a Liverpool-supporting Wigan striker, Harrison Rimmer. And Rimmer was quick to remind Everton of his team's European Cup successes down the years.
