Joe Biden reportedly discussed plans to strike Iran’s nuclear sites in the event Tehran moved closer to building a nuclear bomb before Donald Trump’s inauguration on Jan 20.

In the final weeks of his presidency, outgoing US President Joe Biden and his National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, discussed the possibility of launching airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Iran has launched the first phase of its air defense military drills, named "Eqtedar" (meaning "Might" in Farsi), near the Natanz nuclear facility. The exercises, led by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Army,
