Arsenal's leading scorer, and one of the last remaining attacking options available to Mikel Arteta, has suffered a hamstring injury and is out for the rest of the season.

Kai Havertz will undergo surgery on his torn hamstring in the coming days, Arsenal have announced, with his rehabilitation program due to carry through into the 2025-26 preseason. Havertz suffered the injury at his side's warm-weather training camp in Dubai last week but the full extent of the injury only became apparent on returning to London earlier this week.

Since then, Arsenal had gone on their mid-season break to recharge, but they were hit by news that forward Kai Havertz has suffered a season-ending hamstring injury – adding to their woes after the club failed to sign an attacking option in the January transfer window.
