Nvidia is planning to have reviews of the GeForce RTX 5090 launch a week ahead of the flagship GPU’s release date. That’s according to Videocardz, which points out that the release dates for the RTX 5090 and 5080 shifted slightly in the lead-up to CES 2025 as Nvidia’s add-in board (AIB) partners prepared their models for release.

An early listing of an LG laptop shows it equipped with a high-end Intel Core Ultra 7 chip and the unannounced Nvidia RTX 5050 laptop GPU.

Not only does the VRAM jump up from 24GB to 32GB in the RTX 5090, but it gets a lot faster too with GDDR7 memory. You’re getting both more of it and a faster speed at 32 Gbps.

Nvidia says the RTX 5090 is “2X Faster Than The GeForce RTX 4090;” the RTX 5080 is “Twice As Fast As The GeForce RTX 4080;” the RTX 5070 is “2X Faster Than The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti;” and the RTX 5070 is as fast as the RTX 4090.

The new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 looks very expensive and very good, but the RTX 5070 Ti is what really catches my eye.
