The Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Department said a person died after an apartment fire in Walker Mill on Friday night. Crews said that at about 10:20 p.m., they were sent to a structure fire on 6900 Walker Mill Rd.

Officials closed dozens of schools and issued a boil-water advisory for southern parts of the county. They said several hundred thousand customers are affected.

The Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Department (PGFD) said crews were battling a house fire Sunday afternoon in Lanham. PGFD said that at around 2:40 p.m., crews were dispatched to a house fire in the 6900 block of Nashville Road.

A boil water advisory has been issued for Southern Prince George’s County due to a suspected water main break, according to WSSC Water. The area was first identified as all areas south of Pennsylvania Avene (MD 4) but now includes communities north and east of Pennsylvania Avenue.
