Police arrested a man accused of shoplifting nearly $1,800 worth of merchandise at a New Jersey supermarket during 43 separate incidents over a two-month period.

A Forked River man was arrested earlier this month after allegedly shoplifting from a Stafford supermarket 43 times over a two-month span,

A warrant charges the man stole approximately $1,793 of merchandise from ShopRite on Route 72 West in Manahawkin over a period of approximately two months. The man was transported to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River and will appear in Ocean County Superior Court at a later date,
