The Simpsons are almost 40 years old and the voices of some of the actors are giving out. The Beatles are gone. Carlin is gone. The world moves on and more art comes in to replace it. Things change.

Despite The Simpsons‘ Season 36 premiere being ... no good answer to that question [how the show should end] because the show was never meant to end. It was meant to go on forever.
