Saif Ali Khan sustained six stab wounds during a burglary attempt at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, on the night of January 15-16. According to Khan's public relations team, the assailant attacked him around 2:30 am.

Earlier reports suggested that Saif Ali Khan’s eldest son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, was the one who took his father to the hospital after the stabbing incident. However, a doctor from Lilavati Hospital has now clarified who actually brought the actor in.

Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his residence in Mumbai. The actor, who was seriously injured in the attack by an unidentified man, was taken to the hospital by his 8-year-old son, Taimur Ali Khan, and his caretaker after the incident.
