President Joe Biden confused Palestinian militant group Hamas with Hezbollah while announcing a ceasefire to the Israel-Hamas war on Wednesday.

President Biden had just one word to say on whether he's concerned about Hamas regrouping after a ceasefire deal was finalized on Sunday.

In a brief address on his last full day as president, Joe Biden hailed the ceasefire and hostage release in Gaza and predicted Hamas would not regain power. He also defended his support for Israel in the 15 months since Hamas’ Oct.

Both the Trump and Biden administrations have publicly claimed credit for pushing the agreement over the line.
