Whilst the majority of Minnesota Vikings talk has focused, understandably so, on the quarterback dilemma facing the team, there is another key position group that has major question marks heading into 2025.

As such, Minnesota will be in prime position to revive another former starting quarterback's career in 2025 -- potentially as McCarthy's backup and/or his competition. The Vikings signed former New York Giants signal-caller Daniel Jones after he was cut mid-season and bringing him back is an option if Darnold departs.

"The time is now for Darnold to cash in on his strong regular season. The New York Giants could be a strong landing spot for him. They have a true No. 1 receiver in Malik Nabers and a head coach in Brian Daboll who can maximize Darnold's arm strength and athleticism, as he did with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills," Knox wrote.
