Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin was suspended for one game without pay by the NBA on Wednesday night for inappropriate contact and verbal abuse of a game official.

Then he clapped in the ear of referee Natalie Sago and bumped her. That got him two quick technicals and ejected from the game, and now the league office has suspended him one game for “making inappropriate contact with and verbally abusing a game official.”

Backcourt mates Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland combined for 59 points and Mobley notched a 22-13 double-double. Pascal Siakam countered with a productive showing– 23 points, seven boards and four assists– but the Pacers could not make a full recovery in this one.
