Granted, Chargers fans would love to actually hear that name called on draft day, as it would mean potentially securing the long-term top player at the position in the class for Justin Herbert.
Fortunately, ESPN's Mel Kiper foresees the Chargers getting some help at that spot in the 2025 NFL draft. According to Kiper, the Chargers are projected to select Michigan Wolverines tight end Colston Loveland with the No. 22 pick in the draft this April. Here's what Kiper had to say about the pick:
