Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth’s former sister-in-law submitted an affidavit to the Senate Armed Services Committee saying she believes he “has an alcohol abuse problem and was abusive to his ex-wife Samantha.

Pete Hegseth’s former sister-in-law gave an affidavit to the Senate Armed Services Committee accusing him of being “abusive” toward his second ex-wife, according to a copy of the affidavit obtained by CNN.

Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth’s former sister-in-law alleged he was emotionally abusive to his ex-wife, one time causing her to hide in a closet for her safety, and had a history of drunken and aggressive behavior,

The former sister-in-law of Pete Hegseth told senators in a sworn affidavit that he caused his second wife to fear for her personal safety and abused alcohol over the course of many years.
