Police arrested a man accused of shoplifting nearly $1,800 worth of merchandise at a New Jersey supermarket during 43 separate incidents over a two-month period.

A warrant charges the man stole approximately $1,793 of merchandise from ShopRite on Route 72 West in Manahawkin over a period of approximately two months. The man was transported to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River and will appear in Ocean County Superior Court at a later date,

A 28-year-old Forked River man was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 9 and charged with shoplifting from a ShopRite in Ocean County 43 times, authorities said. Daquan Nieves stole almost $1800 worth of merchandise from the ShopRite at 297 Route 72 West in Manahawkin over two months,
