NEW YORK, 9th January, 2025 (WAM) -- The UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, congratulated Joseph Aoun who was on Thursday elected the country’s President.
After his election, Aoun stepped down from his military role and arrived at the parliament in civilian attire to be sworn in.
