WORCESTER ― Worcester School Superintendent Rachel Monárrez this week sent a message to faculty and families about protecting Worcester students from immigration agents, in response to policies put forth by new President Donald Trump.

Worcester Public Schools sent a letter to families reminding them of the district's policies should any federal immigration agencies arrive at schools.

Superintendent Monarrez says there have been no sightings of immigration officials or ICE at bus stops or at schools in Worcester as of Wednesday.

Worcester Public Schools is vowing to protect their students following a recent directive from President Donald Trump allowing federal immigration officials to make arrests at public schools.
