Former Gators running back Ran Carthon will not return as general manager of the Tennessee Titans after two years at the helm.

With the Tennessee Titans hurtling toward another offseason of massive consequence, general manager Ran Carthon is being relieved of his duties. The Titans fired Carthon on Tuesday, ending his two-year tenure leading the organization's front office.

Carthon made Tennessee among the NFL’s biggest spenders last offseason, signing players like cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, center Lloyd Cushenberry, wide receiver Calvin Ridley and running back Tony Pollard. Ridley finished with 1,017 yards, and Pollard led the team with 1,079 yards and five touchdown runs.
