Nearly two months after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot in New York City in a targeted attack, the company has named its new leader.

The company is still reeling from the murder of Thompson, which unleashed a torrent of pent-up anger and resentment toward the insurance industry.

UnitedHealth Group on Thursday announced that a longtime employee in the company has been named the new leader of its health insurance arm, nearly two months after the killing of former CEO Brian Thompson.
