Max Shulga had 22 points in VCU's 71-62 victory against Duquesne on Tuesday for its ninth straight win game and clinched at least a share of the Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season title.

VCU (25-5, 15-2 A-10, NET: 29) will be the #1 seed in next week’s A-10 Tournament. The W is also helpful for the Rams’ NCAA Tournament at-large hopes. For what it’s worth, Joe Lunardi has VCU in the tournament field as a 10-seed as the A-10’s automatic qualifier.

The Rams will have a chance to break that mark on Friday against Dayton in their final regular-season game. A win over the Flyers would also give the black and gold an outright conference regular-season title. If VCU loses on Friday and George Mason wins its last two games, the Rams would share the regular-season A-10 crown with the Patriots.
