NEWARK, N.J. – When Travis Konecny had an “A” for alternate captain sewn on his jersey last season, it was for good reason. He’s the scrappy, fearless winger whose combination of grit and skill has endeared him to fans in orange and black. But despite being the Flyers' undisputed star, Konecny has long toiled in the shadows of broader NHL stardom.
