CHICO, Calif. - The Caper Acres Playground in Lower Bidwell Park is currently closed due to damage caused by recent storms.

The waters of the Big Chico Creek overflowed their banks, flooding parts of One Mile and 5 Mile Recreation Area overnight as swift-moving floodwaters moved through Bidwell Park.

High water on the Sacramento River looks to be here awhile, according to the Sutter County Office of Emergency Management.
