Mock drafts will be all the rage for the next more than two months as teams like the Arizona Cardinals prepare for the 2025 NFL draft. NFL.com's Eric Edholm has a new first-round mock draft that comes after Senior Bowl week.

With the Cardinals on the board at No. 16, Marshall pass rusher Mike Green was on the board. He was tempting, but there were a pair of promising pass rushers available. The Seahawks wanted the 16th pick and gave up the 18th pick, a third-round pick (No. 82 overall) and a sixth-round pick to move up two spots.

The Cardinals currently hold the 16th overall selection, but just five more projected picks afterwards (pending compensatory selections). 16 is a good spot to be in to land quality players but not elite ones. It’s also a solid spot to be in should Arizona opt to move up the board and secure their guy.

One might think the Arizona Cardinals have a pressing need at cornerback this offseason. They really don't. They signed Sean Murphy-Bunting to a three-year deal last offseason. They drafted Max Melton in the second round last year.
