With snow accumulation forecasted to be 8 inches or more and wind chills reaching below zero, Salina is preparing for its next winter storm.

A winter storm warning lasting from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 6 p.m. .Wednesday was issued Monday for an area that includes Topeka.

Wichita’s chance for snow increases to 90% at night, with a high temperature of 29 and a low of 18. Wednesday shows a 90% chance of snow before noon. The high for that day is expected at 21, and a frigid low of 5, the forecast shows.
