California Gov. Gavin Newsom will order state officials to advance implementation of a state rule aiming to make homes more fire resistant in a wind-driven wildfire after years of delay.

SCE concedes in the filing that a conductor failure occurred near the origin of the fire, causing damaged equipment to fall to the ground at the base of a tower.
