My new bird of paradise is about six inches away from a small power head. The flow isn’t too strong. Took me a minute to get the testing done, but here are my parameters: Ammonia: 0.5ppm Nitrate: 0ppm Ph: 8.2

Feb 24, 2020 · The only birds nest I ever met in high par got there VERY slowly and halides where it’s light source. Under led I’ve never had a birds nest to well near the top of the tank. Personal and anecdotal experiences.

Nov 8, 2022 · Providing an update here. Birds Nest looks like a goner with algae growth. One acro total bleach and the other partial bleach. No sign of polyps. Just installed auto doser to maintain Alk at 10dkh and 450 calcium, as those were the biggest swings when I first bought these frags.

Dec 5, 2021 · These birds nest are growing great, the j.f has been cut a few times for frags and I've noticed the green skin fades away until it gets established again then the green skin slowly comes back. Its always more Teal than the green b.n which has been fragged a few times also they both heal and grow quick.

Jan 2, 2015 · Pick a spot and keep it there. You moving it around isn't letting it settle into its placement. From my understanding most of not all birds nest can be placed anywhere there is flow. Find a spot you like and let it settle, it's polyps and color will eventually come around. But if it starts to bleach then move it to a less area of light.

Mar 14, 2021 · its gone imo. did you make any change in water params? birds nest are relatively hardier. it takes at least a week from 2nd pic to last pic unless something went very wrong suddenly.
