The Clinton health care plan of 1993, colloquially referred to as Hillarycare, was an American healthcare reform package proposed by the Bill Clinton administration and closely associated with the chair of the task force devising the plan, first lady Hillary Clinton.

From the first days of his Administration, President Clinton has worked to expand access to affordable, quality health care for all Americans. The President has strengthened the Medicare program, increased access and improved the quality of our nation's health care system.

Both the Task Force and the Interdepartmental Working Group received instructions to fulfill their duties in consideration of President Clinton’s goal to have a comprehensive national health care reform bill passed within the first hundred days of his administration.
