Oct 25, 2019 · Lithium batteries are still in the experimental stage and very expensive. I doubt you will beat the return on investment value before an unexplained issue arrives. They have the market corned due to range phobia which they promote and you among others have bought into.

Oct 31, 2023 · Lithium batteries work fine with the existing DC motor and motor controller as is. My old lead acid batteries still held a charge so I recouped some of the replacement cost by selling the old batteries and charger. The new lithium batteries are ridiculously lightweight. My cart actually goes 2 mph faster with the lighter batteries.

Dec 16, 2022 · Previously the interlock system for the charger and hand brake received voltage from the batteries via the charger. If the charger was charging no voltage was allowed to flow through. Same is true for the hand brake (if hand brake on then no voltage going through) Cart had 8 six volt batteries before the change.

May 19, 2021 · Lithium Ion batteries will be lighter for the same capacity. The voltage curve is flatter but it falls off a cliff at the end. Accurate remaining charge is likely less accurate. Cost, lithium ion batteries have gone down in price they are not as inexpensive as lead acid and you will likely need to purchase a new charger for lithium ion batteries.

Earlier this year it was a $4000 upgrade for lithium. Cart World charged a $2000 premium for a small lithium battery in Club Cars. I have a previous post on the Evolution with a larger battery.
