Mar 28, 2018 · An Umbrella Corporation is real thing, it's a term that refers to a company that controls a large number of subsidiaries or sub-companies. Hence the usage of the word "umbrella". So basically, it's like they called it "Shadowy Org" or something. In a game series full of on-the-nose references, this is one of the worst.

When I lived in Oregon for a bit, there was a "doomsday car" scene. Umbrella Corp was a popular theme. I've also seen them on semi-trucks on the freeway. It's the equivalent of a morale patch but for your car.
